Tips For Having a Successful Family Photo Session With Little Ones

Our Tips for Success:

Plan!
If your little ones still enjoy a daily nap, consider planning your family photos around their nap time. Kids tend to be their happiest and most cooperative when they're well-rested! It’s also a great idea to ensure they have a good meal before the session—keeping their tummies full will help bring out their smiles in the photos!

Be prepared!
Get ready for some fun! Plan your outfits thoughtfully for those fall and winter photo sessions. We want everyone to feel warm and cozy while avoiding any sniffles! And it might be a good idea to pack some tissues just in case—you'll be glad you did! After all, we wouldn’t want you to have to use your sleeves for those pesky boogers!

Bribery is sometimes necessary!
Pack extra snacks and some treats your kid(s) love! This will work as an incentive for smiling, posing, and looking at the camera! This also works great for teenagers and adults too!

And here’s a bonus tip: Sometimes, an entire session can be a lot for little ones, so ASP offers mini-sessions that work great for families with young ones! Book a mini session and receive beautiful images of your family in a concise yet productive amount of time!
